Studio peggy51 is run by Michel Vermeulen. Michel has been a musician for over 20 years. He has extensive experience as a performing and recording musician, engineer, and producer. You can be sure he knows where you're coming from.
Location
The recording studio is located in a converted farm stable in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, less than 12 kilometres from the centre of Amsterdam. It is situated in a rural area, so if you need some in-between-sessions inspiration, you can go outside and have a stroll along the river or stare along the pastures. There is ample free parking available.
The studio
The studio has a live room with a bar,a recording booth, a control room, a machine room, a relax room (can also be used for guide vocals) and a hall with toilet. The live room is very spacious, 70 square metres and over 3,5 metres high, and combines great acoustics with a cosy atmosphere. The high ceiling makes drums sound fantastic! Using high screens we can adjust the acoustics at will. This room is particularly suitable for recording the whole band live. Of course, we can also record each instrument individually (for more detail please see
Our approach). Another great feature of our live room is the fact that you get plenty of daylight through the large windows and can relax at our bar - this will certainly help you stay focused during a long recording session.
